The group was exhausted after a long night as we headed from Florence to Assisi. Assisi is a quaint little village with lots of limestone buildings and arches dating back to 1200 AD. We visited the Basilica of St. Clare and the Basilica of St. Francis. After arriving in Rome, we were amazed at the size of the hotel rooms - biggest in all of Europe! Mike and I headed for a run and as I am checking out the surroundings, to my right I see THE COLLESIUM!!! Pinch me now!!! Casual dinner at the hotel and we walked off the meal with a night trip to the Trevi Fountain. Time for a good night sleep!
