Ohio Cornfield Fun

Just got back from Ohio to visit Cal and Erin and celebrate the Gipson Wedding. We LOVED the "Carin" home and got to chill at the infamous GOAT. It was Mike's birthday and we were welcomed with a cake (orange flower goodness!). The next morning, we traveled through hours (and hours) of cornfields and then reached the church for the Gipson wedding (late!). It was great to see everyone again and we enjoyed the ribs at Al's BBQ in between wedding and reception (and were in competition with another wedding... Big Al's was happenin'!). Enjoyed a night at the VonBurgs for football on Sunday and to celebrate Eli's 30th (nice cake, OLD MAN!).

Visit from Dad and Mom Solack

Dad and Mom Solack came down to visit for a long weekend at the beginning of October. The doggie had a blast being spoiled by grandma and gramps (ha!). We spent a morning at the agility park where Briscoe (and Mike - illustrating proper moves) showed off their skills and another at the beach (we were tired just watching the dog run in and out of those waves!). Girls ruled on the euchre table (unless you ask the boys). Dad... we promise oysters next visit!

Jamaica, mon!

Hey all! My first blog... I feel so 'now'. We had lots of great pictures from this summer and Stacey's baby website is so cute... so here I am. Alright, slideshow is some of our pictures from Jamaica. When we walked into the room , we were welcomed by a beautiful bouquet from mom and dad Solack (thanks, guys!) and the surprises didn't stop there. Mike got into a 'hugging' contest the first night (HYSTERICAL), dinners were delicious (bellies got bigger), and Ellis made the "one love" art display on our bed. We're back to the real world now, but enjoying being back home with Briscoe (who got her first boyfriend while we were gone... awww).

This was an 80's going away party for Jeff Lutsey (we miss you!!!) at James' house. In true James fashion, there was a full snacking spread, specialty drinks, and of course karaoke. I had to be coerced to get 'on stage', but after my talents were displayed, my fans couldn't get enough (or... everyone went outside... ha!). We went all out with the 80s theme... check out those tight rolls! The blackmail is in full effect here... enjoy : )
